Whats up all. Its been a while since Ive been to this sight. Everything is okay here, a little wild because the insurgents have stepped up all they'r attacks. They have actually been going after Iraqi's more then Americans. But they will never pass up on the oppertunity to blow up an American convoy. So I just keep my guard up and dont allow anyone to get close. Ive done alot of shooting lately carsgetting to close put a couple of rounds into there hood usually stopes them really fast. Havent killed anyone yet thankfully. But the only problem is that when I do the odds are its just an everyday civilian that just doesnt listen to us when we tell them to get away from our vehicles. We blow whistles, throw rocks and waterbottles at them. Anything to prevent us from having to kill them but sometimes they are in a hurry and are trying to get by ut we cant let them get close to us because that time you do is when they blow up and your buddy our you end up blown into pieces. But thats what we have to deal with everyday. So I just take it one day at a time and try not to do something I will regret. So I will try to get on here more often. Take care everyone I will be home for leave soon.

Well this place is really starting to suck. The heat is starting to set in its not bad yet only the upper 80s low 90s. The people here are disgusting though its not there fault they have no plumming or garbage services. So when you go out on patrol and you hit neighborhoods that smell so bad you want to puke. Most of the people are really nice that I have run into but you can sense that trusting them could be hazardous to your health. I starting to get used the the mortars and rockets launched into the green zone close to us. If you hear the round coming then its not going to hit you Ive learned. So far so good I guess. But I can not wait to come home for leave. Well I guess thats enough for now. Ill try not to wait so long between entries. I love you Jeanetta and Laila

Well Im still here in Baghdad. Ill tell you what these bpeople are crazy. They really like to test us alot I dont know why because they end up getting themselves killed. Even the good one's (non insurgent type) like to play games with us. There is an 11pm curfew in the city of Baghdad and the other night after curfew this dumb ass walks withen 30 meters of our check point and just starts staring at us like he is checking out the layout or something. When the ING's (Iraqi National Guard) go after him he takes off. Ill tell you what the ING soldiers are nuts they will shoot up anything and everything when something happens. They will unload all there ammo and not hit a damn thing its the funniest thing in the world. But they have no fear and thats good because they do things that we are not allowed to do. So im glad to have them. Well I gotta get going Ill writ again when I get the chance.

Woo- Hoo now I have picture icons! I just want to give a big, huge, hearty, thanks, to the love of my life, the woman of my dreams, the most beautiful woman in the world, the apple of my eye, the one I cannot do without, for helping me with this. I so owe her big time. I think that maybe I will send her a nice surprise gift, as a token of my appreciation(yeah I spelled that wrong). I wonder what she would like? I'd have to order it online, and have it shipped to her of course. I'm thinking that maybe I could get her an Amazon gift certificate, or something like that, bc I know she wants to go book shopping. Or maybe I can get her a gift card for clothes shopping, I know she's been wanting these werid boots, so maybe I'll do that, I know that she doens't want any flowers right now. Hmmm...not sure. Well, I think that I'll go now, bc I have stuff to do, and I need to sleep, and I will be dreaming of her, and my little one, who looks like me..haha...

Hello all
WEll yesterday was another crazy day in Baghdad. Another 55 innocent people kiled by suicide bombers. Yesterday was considered the holliest day of the year(by the Shites). So all day long you can hear the prayer songs being wailed at the mosks around the city. But every once in a while you would hear an explosion. Its a damn shame that these people just dont get how valuable life is. But I guess when when a country is ran by clerics who only careabout themselves, and abuse the trust of there people by having them die for a cause of the clerics well being. Thats just wrong.I wish we could arrest these clerics and send them all to hell were they belong. But like this funny patch says that you can buy at the PX "Only God can judge our enemies. So we will arrange the meetings". You see these clerics tell all there followers whoever there cleric does not like is an infidel and they must die.So in there religeon if you die in this process you become martyr. Which is dumb thing to belive, but if you can keep the people stupid or un educated you can rule them forever. So we all know these people are crazy but all of us soldiers joke around because with them willing and wanting to die for there cause if they were trained they might be able to kick our ass's. But instead they do stupid things like try to attack our Check points and entry ways into our bases. By driving car bombs at them. But what they fail to realize is that they cant get close enough to do any damage. They tried to do this a few times yesterday and failed because all we heard was our 50 calibers singing, which can be such a beutiful sound sometime. Now I sound sound like a Sociopath (lol) But its the truth. Well Ill write again soon.

hello all who read this. well i am now in baghdad it is a very crazy place. i have been too a lot of crazy cities in the states but none of them can hold a candle too baghdad. i drove up in a convoy from kuwait it was a long drive but it helped me too realize why we are here. you see in iraq there are three major groups the sunni which have had all the power in the past but only make up 30% of the population, the shite which make up 60% of the population who have had no power, and the kurds which make up about 5% of the population and have had no power. In the first gulf war the u.s urged the kurds and shites to rebel against sadam and we would help them when we got here. but the u.n made us pull back after we freed kuwait.so sadam punished the kurds by gassing them with chemicals and killing thousands, and the shites he killed thousands but most importantly he dammed the euphrates river cutting off the water supply to the south. there for destroying there fruitfull farmlands and turning it into even more of a barren dessert. on the way up here through the south it was ugly and dry the people where living in tent whole families trying to live off of the little food they could come up with. when they seen our comvoy comming the kids and some parents stood next too the road begging for food so we gave them what we could grab from inside the cabs of our trucks, it was an eye opening event at the least. but now when we got up closer too the euphrates it was very beutiful green rice pattis huge trees and all the kids who lined the streets lokked healthy though some still begged for food. so now i know why i am here i am here for those people that sadam hurt for so long, it is time for them too have there say in the way things are in this country.
